Water in the time of Coronavirus
““The global struggle against the pandemic has little chance to succeed if personal hygiene, the main measure to prevent contagion, is unavailable to the 2.2 billion persons who have no access to safe water services.”
The Caminos de Agua offices will remain closed during this time of preventative measures due to coronavirus. The Caminos team will be working their normal schedule from home and will be available to address any issues and questions. If you would like to contact us, please send an email to info@caminosdeagua.org.
As you undoubtedly know, the first line of defense against the Coronavirus is frequent hand washing everyday, washing surfaces, and staying hydrated. Unfortunately, these seemingly simple actions are a major challenge for tens of thousands of our neighbors who just don’t have access to enough water. So, during this time, we are focusing the majority of our efforts to develop new education materials, short videos, and virtual workshops that support strategies to mitigate the spread of the virus for those who do not have regular access to running water.
Additionally, we will be giving virtual talks and presentations with partners from around the globe, and we will continue to update our website with useful videos and publications.
